In a spin off of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette comes The Bachelor Pad. The premise is basically a bunch of men and women cast off during the various seasons compete to get surprise, surprise a rose.
During the opening scenes of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, as the hopefuls get out of the limo, you can help smiling, looking at how they are trying to impress and put on their Sunday best. Not so with The Bachelor Pad.
With The Bachelor Pad, you get the distinct idea that the cavalcade of contestants are more like a troupe coming out of a clown car heading towards the world’s worst circus. Some of the contestants are fan favorites, but just as many are horrid people who should have been kept away from the bachelor and bachelorette by some well-placed tacks in the tire of the limo that brought them to the door during their initial stints.

Ali Chooses a Husband on The Bachelorette
Chris's meeting with the family was a bit more reserved initially. But he's a Massachusetts native, so he was immediately one of them, said the various family members. He, too, asked Ali's dad for permission to ask Ali to marry him.
The next day, Ali began two one-on-one dates with the bachelors to clear up any doubts she may have had. Roberto was first up, and Ali decided right there that she didn't have to look any further. She was absolutely in love with Roberto.
Instead of meeting Chris for their one-on-one date, Ali went to his room to tell him she'd already made her decision. She didn't want to spend the day on a date with him and confuse the situation more and cause him more heartache. She certainly didn't want to put him through the agony of waiting through a rose ceremony. She was incredibly stand up and honest...unlike others (cough, Justin, cough, Frank).
Is anyone as bummed out about this one as I am? Both men are really good guys, but there's this nagging feeling I have that comes from having been there. (Okay so I haven't had 25 bachelors fighting to meet me, but I've done the family thing, and it can be hairy.)
Chris went home, dejected, and Ali and Roberto appeared on the Bachelorette aftershow, both glowing, with plans of moving in together in
The only misgiving I have regarding Roberto, and it's a big one, has to do with the family aspect. On the one hand, it is admirable that he wanted permission from her dad to marry her, and when he took Ali home, he hinted that if they didn't like her, it would be a deal breaker. And that's the problem.
It's one thing to be family oriented and quite another to marry and parent by committee. It seems to me that's how Roberto will be. Until the end he was saying that it was really good his family liked Ali. What if they hadn't?
Flash forward: What if her parenting skills aren't what his family thinks is suitable in the future? I foresee problems. Call it personal experience...or personal nightmare...on my part. If you marry someone who takes a family vote for decisions, you're in trouble. That person should be your partner. He should fit in with your family, but ultimately, he should be your lifemate. The two of YOU should be one, not the GROUP should become one.
Chris was a slow starter but it's because he approached this realistically. He thought it wrong to pop onto a TV show and declare his love or say he'd "protect" a stranger's heart on the first sight or first dates. When he decided it was right however (much as you would in the real, free world), he was very open and demonstrative. And it was real, and it seemed like something that would last.

Snooki and the Spray tan
This is just a short note, as I hate to give the Jersey Shore gang any more air play than they should get---which is none. Seriously guys, you used up your 15 minutes of fame about 14 1/2 minutes ago. But Snooki is in the news being her controversial self and getting all political, as you would probably expect from Snooki.
Now she's taking on the President. Since Pres. Obama put a 10 percent tax on tanning, and Snooki has been on national TV making it very clear that it was a move against "them," whoever they are.
Priceless.

Bachelorette Ali Whittles the Bachelor List Down to Roberto and Chris
As each episode of The Bachelorette airs, the viewer gets the feeling he’s seeing the drama episode to end all drama. Then the next episode airs---and even more drama surfaces. That describes Ali’s tour of Tahiti with the remaining three bachelors: Frank, Chris and Roberto.
The three men couldn’t be more different, physically and behaviorally. Frank, the cerebral, self-doubting Chicago native has shared chemistry with Ali from the start. Roberto, the Floridian who taught Ali to Salsa dance and presented her with a baseball card of himself from her hometown, sought the blessing of his family before he threw all in with the lovely blonde. Chris, the soft-spoken former NYC schoolteacher who returned to Cape Cod to help care for his dying mother, let down his guard only recently and presented Ali with a bracelet or particular significance made by a neighbor.
Ali had her work cut out for her coming off of the hometown visits. Tonight was her night to spend one-on-one and overnight dates with the men.
And that she did, with one exception.
Third things first. Frank has been pushing Ali, expressing jealousy, then pulling back with apprehension. Tonight instead of heading to Tahiti, he went back to Chicago to see his former girlfriend Nicole. Nicole told him that she had felt empty since he left. She told him he needed to come home. He smiled, lowered his head, told her he loved her and agreed.

Brendon Wins Veto Competition
Brendon took himself off the block by winning this week's veto competition. The house guests had to break pinatas filled with letters, then make a long word out of the letters. Brendon made the longest word, UNDERSTANDING, to win the contest.
Hayden had to pick someone else to put up. The Brigade has decided that Annie may be The Saboteur (at worst) and in an alliance with Brendon and Rachel (at best), so she becomes the new target. Now Annie and Rachel are on the block.
As the house guests started speculating on the identity of The Saboteur once again. Just as Kristen comments that they haven't heard from the Saboteur in a while, the TV screen flashes up with that mysterious figure. He throws out the bombshell. He tells the house guests that while they introduced themselves to one another as strangers, the fact is that two of the house guests came in as life-long friends.
So, is that the big sabotage, or is that just something The Saboteur is saying to stir the pot once again. Brendon immediately says they should discount it as a trick, which again makes him a target.
Worse, Andrew shows his crazy side once again, saying he can't be The Saboteur obviously because no one else is Jewish, so they wouldn't be among his friends. Andrew seems to think he makes his case with his protestations, but the more he talks, the more people believe he's The Saboteur and/or just plain crazy.
It will be a big night Thursday, as the first house guest is evicted, a new head of household is crowned AND the identity of The Saboteur is revealed.
Stay tuned for the July 15, Thursday show at 8 p.m.

Big Brother Guests Think They Have The Saboteur Cornered
The mischief and mayhem known as Big Brother flew into full throttle for the first nomination ceremony. Everything hinges on The Saboteur.
At end of the first show, all talk revolved around the identity of The Saboteur. The talk continued, and the nominations reflect the talk.
Brendon Villegas, the 30-year-old high school coach from Riverside , California , separated from the group when The Saboteur doused the lights during the first episode. Brendon explained that he had to find his toothbrush and brush his teeth. You could hear a collective “Huh” from the many television sets across America .
Suspicion also fell on Andrew Gordon, the 39-year-old, off-center podiatrist from Miami . Andrew hid behind the sofas and got involved with throwing things when the lights were out because, he explained, he’s a prankster. Big Brother bestowed immunity to Andrew who agreed to act as the host of the first HOH contest.

Big Brother Season 12: Meet the Houseguests
Summer means it’s time to meet the new 13 houseguests of Big Brother at CBS. The 12th season kicked off July 8 when the houseguests moved into the house they’ll share for the next 75 days.
In the first episode, as folks moved in, claiming beds and swapping stories, it may have been all about love and champagne, but as the days pass on, and the 52 cameras and 95 microphones pick up backstabbing and chicanery among the houseguests, the love will die. Word.
Before you get engrossed in the day-to-day wrangling of the houseguests, get to know their stories. After you know the players, see if you can find THE SABOTEUR, the rogue player Big Brother has planted in the house. He’s the twist in this year’s season. As Julie Chen explained, “One houseguest is not here to win. He’s here to make the guests’ lives miserable.”
Meet the houseguests of Big Brother Season 12!
Rachel Reilly, 26 – VIP Cocktail Waitress – Las Vegas , NV.
If it weren’t for Rachel’s gi-normous breasts, the first thing you’d notice is her flowing red hair. She comes off very ditsy in the season opener, and more than a few mentioned her annoying laugh. That’s precisely what Rachel is counting on to win the big prize.
